The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Will Be Featured On Tonight’s Episode of “Fast N” Loud” – Don’t Miss it!Monday, Sep. 15 2014
The Fast N’ Loud PPIHC build will take place over a pair of episodes. The first will air on Discovery Channel at 6:00 PM MST tonight. The second episode will air at 6:00 PM MST on September 22.
The episodes will focus on Gas Monkey Garage and their building of the 1965 Chevrolet C10 Pace Truck that led the 2014 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. In addition, co-host Aaron Kaufman will be preparing for his first chance to race Pikes Peak using the 1963 Ford Falcon race car built on the show last season.
“We thought about buying the C-10 around the time we thought about doing Pikes Peak,” says Richard. We’ve got a lightweight, heavy motor, heavy horsepower, killer ride truck with a 572 in there with 620 Horsepower converted to fuel injection, big brakes and we think we can do very well up there. I’ve even got a roll cage in case I go down the hill.”
“It’s low and mean, everything that Gas Monkey is all about,” says the veteran Road Rally driver, who has won the Gumball 3000 and the BullRun–twice. He once held the record for the Cannonball Run, covering the 2,811 miles from New York to Los Angeles in 31 hours and 59 minutes, and average speed of 87.6 MPH!
Gas Monkey Garage is a high end custom Hot Rod shop based in Dallas, Tx. The television show “Fast n’ Loud” debuted in 2012, and has been following owner and Fast N’ Loud hostRichard Rawlings and master mechanic Aaron Kaufman as they put their unique twist on a wide variety of projects.
