Request for Invitation Information:

Request for Invitation (Closed January 27, 2017)

In an effort for competitors to receive more practice time and to allow for a more efficient Race Day, the PPIHC has determined that it will limit the field to approximately 100 vehicles.  The field of invited entries will be selected through the Official Registration/Request for Invitation process.  If invited to participate, competitors will be notified no later than February 17, 2017.  Competitors may also be placed on a waitlist.  If withdrawals from the original field occur between January 28, 2017 and May 1, 2017, waitlisted competitors may be notified with an opportunity to join the field.

The Request for Invitation process has become more thorough and detailed for the 2017 Race. All requested information listed in the Request for Invitation packet must be submitted by the entry deadline of January 27, 2017.  There will be no exceptions.  For a complete list of all mandatory forms, documents and information (general and division/class specific) please click here.  The 2017 PPIHC Selection Committee will use the following criteria when selecting the 100 vehicles for the 2017 Race:

-Racing Experience (to be detailed on official racing resume)

-Vehicle Eligibility

-Rookie/Veteran Status

-Racing References

-Previous Pikes Peak Results & Performance

Race Committee:

The PPIHC Race Committee brings 150+ years of experience in the automotive field, collectively, to this prestigious event with some members having ties to this race dating back to its inception with Spencer Penrose. This committee has deep roots in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region and includes members whose family involvement has spanned generations. The PPIHC Race Committee is comprised of current and former competitors, race officials and PPIHC Board members. Those serving on this committee are not only well-versed in the automotive industry and in motorsports, but they are proud to call Colorado Springs their home.  The eleven member committee (two non-voting members) is comprised of four PPIHC board members (Chairman, Vice Chairman, Immediate Past Chairman, Immediate Past Race Director) with seven other members.

Testing Information:

2017 Testing Registration Information

The PPIHC will be conducting a private test for registered and accepted entries in the 2017 event.  Each testing day will have a maximum number of car/motorcycle participants, and registration for those spaces will be on a first come, first served basis.  Click here (Now Open) to register for testing. You must register online for Testing.

Fan Fest Information:

The 2017 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Fan Fest will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017. This year Fan Fest will officially kick off the 95th running of the Race to the Clouds. Fan Fest is a downtown outdoor public event spanning 7 city blocks, with an estimated attendance of 35,000. Fan Fest is a wonderful opportunity to display and promote your racing team and crew, as well as your sponsors. Please note, anyone wishing to sell merchandise or food items must purchase an additional exhibitor/vendor space. Fan Fest will take place rain or shine. There are no rain dates or refunds due to inclement weather. Competitor space is non-refundable. Fan Fest space is reserved on a first come, first served basis. Exact booth locations cannot be guaranteed. Space location will be assigned by the PPIHC staff. Competitor space is for PPIHC accepted competitors only.
